Project Description:
Owner: Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach, Florida
Training and procedural observation is an essential part of hospital operation. This was the catalyst leading Memorial Hospital of Ormond Beach to call upon Olson Electric for significant expansion and improvements to its surgical suites. This expansion included three operating rooms, x-ray rooms and body-scan rooms.
The expansion also included generator rooms, electrical rooms, an electrical vault, two 750KW generators, equipotential and emergency power distribution. It is necessary to coordinate a power transfer while maintaining all critical life-safety systems and emergency operations. The assignment also included systems for fire alarm, nurse call, communications and security.
HRS critical grounding systems, required on this assignment, are placed under the direction of Olson Electric's HRS specialists; who maintain close contact with HRS officials and are fully conversant in HRS requirements and trends in facilitation.
