The expansion of the AT&T Microelectronics Plant is part of America's return to leadership in the semi-conductor industry. Olson Electric Company's Industrial Division has been a key participant in this expansion. The Olson project team was assigned the task of performing the electrical installation to the latest cleanroom set at the plant.
The Olson team participated in daily co-ordination meetings with the designers, AT&T facility staff, Bell Laboratories engineers and other subcontractors. Since most of this equipment was being relocated from another AT&T facility, it required a customized installation procedure.
This Unique design/build project required detailed scheduling, daily purchasing and expediting of sophisticated equipment and instruments. Management of manpower had to be concentrated and rigid clean room protocol was maintained throughout the duration of the project.
